I went to pick up my ebay score,
a pair of DCM Time Frame 600's ,pair of TF-350's ,2 Epiphany 10" Subs.
and the guy throws in a pair of Polk Monitor 5's, not a scratch. Keep 'em or sell 'em ?
Would they hold their own as rear surrounds in the above group ??
I've heard of them.. what is their forte'..... Thanks

The timeframes are nice... but the DCM timewindows were even nicer :-)
The Monitor 5s aren't quite in the same league as your new timeframes, but they were, and are, very decent speakers.
No forte, just nice smooth, balanced, natural presentation of music; very good transient response for their time. Also true of the vintage DCMs, actually...

Free Monitor 5's, cool. Post a pic.

For some of us, we plan for years and years for that day we will become a Polkie. Others it just seems to jump them when not looking.

hook them monitor's up to a one of your amps. and see how they sound to you. they are not a large speaker.. but they should work as surrounds for you.
