    I haven't, but that bottom pair, especially the left one, looks water damaged from hell. The bass radiator is all bubbley and looks like water run stains from the left edge of the speaker........It'd be nice for it to be in a home environment to claim that it's functional rather than to see it sitting right outside his storage shed.........

    The passive subs on the bottom are essentially RTA12 cabs without the top-mounted tweets.

    I've only seen these once before, and never got any real production info. Maybe it was a limited run for studio use, or some such.

    I agree, Russ.. I thought it looked like part of a pair of 12s as well. I wonder how much those "bass modules" really get you over the 10s? Monitor 10Bs have always been a little dream of mine.. probably because I wanted them but couldn't afford them when I bought my Monitor 7Cs. Looking again, I don't think those are 10Bs.. looks like original SL1000s... lots of drivers and crossovers to play with...

    I would like to have those sub cabs to play around with.:D From all that I can remember they were intended as a stand alone for use with the smaller moniter speakers that were being sold at the time. I would like to hear one or a pair just to see what they can do.

    I would think they would have more damage than the owner would admit. Looks like he stored his speakers in Concord CA, which is very humid and can get blistering hot in the summer time. This would introduce moisture into the dome tweeters and rust the coils. My 5jr's were stored in the same area for just a couple of months and the weather ruined my pair. Just for future reference the older polks should not be stored in a non-climate controlled area. The paper drivers and glue are very susceptible to heat and moisture.
