Realative success... reglueing MW6503 magnet!!!!

Well it's so far so good in my MW6503 magnet reglue project. I tried to build a sort of rig (see pic lol) to help me in this process and that failed horribly. I then begun brainstorming again and had an easier and better idea. So I used a vice and a threaded clamp (both assisted by popsicle sticks and electrical tape as spacers) to put the magnet back in a neutral position so that it could be JB welded back into place. The vice did the x axis and the clamp did the y. So after a 12 hour dry I threw it back into my SRS' and I get a little bit of a rattle out of it. I beleive this is because the voice coil is not perfect anymore due to being pinched so many times. It is working though and does not ruin my listening at all. So until I get my driver from Polk it will get me by. Who knows with a little bit more practice this might be a viable way of reglueing a magnet and thus saving a driver.

Good effort and good luck. I've always wondered if speakers could be repaired after they blow.
