So it's been a few days or better now, since I got them in a sweet spot. While my wife Nancy walked by I stated all the noise comes from these ribbons.... Well 95% or so. Looking at me as I was pulling her leg or something, full disbelieve and shocked. She then.......

Looks straight at me and states "So why are they so Fu*king big then?"

God I'm going to have fun with this one. :D:D:D:D:D:D

My wife fully supports my audio journey but there is a line that has been drawn. She HIGHLY discourages "surfboards" to be in the living room. She was referencing the ALS'.

Well you're correct, I love them yes they are surf boards. I wear the pants, or my wife doesn't care (not sure what she thinking). She's a Jersey Girl so she will tell you what she's thinking about and what put any sugar on it. ;)

I have to watch my pants if they are on or off, if she pissed at me... I think those "Surf Boards" will be in the pool.

Not Postal, but whoever walked in with them would be directed walk right back out with them! But then they never would have been taken in the first place, since I would be right there with him auditioning speakers & those would NOT be on the list to audition!

I've been living the last two years by one rule... "It's easier to ask for forgiveness than to get your wife to approve a speaker purchase". I usually sugar coat things and make it sound great, although not always true :) Congrats on the speakers. I've heard them at George Grand's house, and they are fantastic. Once I saw them, I told my wife all about them, and she gave me the look...it said, "Don't even think about it". If I ever wanted to get those, I think I'd just get them, hope she doesn't see them for a few days, and when she does, tell her she approved them late one night, and hopefully she won't remember :)

    Congrats!

I'm in the process of building a new pair of speaker cabinets for my custom speakers.

After reading this thread tonight, I showed my girlfriend a picture of Amazings to see what her response would be. With excitement in her voice she asked "Oh, are you building those?!". I responded with a sad "no".

If I didn't have $XXXX+ invested in my current speakers, I would. Too bad my bedroom and HT rooms are too small for them.
