I have some spare Solen Capacitors that need to find a good home. For a fellow member who is planning on doing an upgrade I will mail them to you at no charge. Since I have no need for them maybe someone else can put them to good use. They have been installed in a monitor 10 x-over but never used. You will not have an issue with the leads by the way. I also have two 2ohm Mills resistors that are new.

Two 35uF
Four 12uF
Two 2uF that were in my Anthem PRE2L They are well burned in but can't see where anyone could use them.

Next I am going to look through the spare x-overs I have sitting around. I've collected a lot of stuff since joining this forum.

Would these work in a Monitor 10A with the peerless tweeters? If so I would like to take you up on your generous offer. PM sent.
    Thanks, Mike

    Hey Mike,
They should be a perfect match but you should double check the values of the existing capacitors. I was going to use these in my 10's with Peerless tweeters till a baseball bat took care of that project.

I'd be interested in 2x 12uF for my SDA1C x-over redo. Nice little karma you've got going btw :D

One of the speaker cabinets got hit by accident with a baseball bat. I was in the final stages of applying the final coats of poly when the accident happened. Drew Jr.'s baseball coach said he can hit bee's with a baseball bat he so good, well he can hit just about anything I guess. So I put the Monitor 10's in the closet for now.

That's funny you need a pair of 12uF's because when looking thru my spare x-overs I found a pair still soldered in the x-over. I'll de-solder them and send them out if you PM me your address.

    I'd appreciate that!

No hurry at all of course. I've already compiled a list of the parts I need and the sites I'd be going through and this just saved me another $20 or so :D

Still have to finish my subwoofer project.......one project at a time ;)

Your more than welcome. One thing though, you really should have replaced the resistors. You can buy them for about $3.00 each. You can still do them but it would have been really easy when you were doing the caps. Looks good and keep us informed on your initial impressions and then your thoughts after a few hundred hours.

    x 1000.

The resistor is in the signal path and the Mills wire wound non-inductive really is a lot smoother and natural sounding. Plan to do those in the future. Otherwise looks outstanding!!!

I bench tested the old caps and resistors and they were all within spec! The speakers sounded great to begin but it's nice to know I won't have to think about the caps for a couple more decades.
