SDA 2b Wiring

Hello,

When I bought my SDA 2bs the outside speaker in the right cabinet was unhooked. I connected it the same as the mirror speaker in the left cabinet regarding which lead is connected white/ greeen. (Stupid or not) I have been running them like that for a month, maybe an hour or so at a time.

Recently, after about 3 hours of playing I got a medium pitch "noise" from the speakers. My son said the noise started coming and going and then stayed constant. My setup is a vintage pioneer amp with preamp out run through a vanalstine amp. I could still hear the music behind the noise, and volume still affected the music up and down, but not the constant noise. After a cool down, everything is fine, speakers amp, etc.

Did my stupid wiring decision cause this problem? The speakers were fine for several listenings, maybe I didn't listen to them for that long at one time.

Now I'm scared to use the SDA's with that amp. What should I do?

Thanks in advance for your help. Gary
