Look at what it is, a large box with dual 18 inch drivers and 1300 W. I have no doubt it is a loud sub. It has also been redesigned from when Craigsub tested it. I'll say this, dual Ultras will hang right there with it (dual 13 inch with 1500 watts) based on what I've seen third party test wise. And they look better IMO.

That big is a beast, I'd love to demo one just to make myself go nuts in my HT. That or top sub from Epik in a dual configuration. I'd turn them up and would try to crack the foundation with so much air moving.

The ED A7-900 is a BAD **** BIG SUB with the weight of gorilla. It weights more than 400LBs and 3-4 man job to move. It's even bigger than most coffee table. I was tempted to get one but I decided to get two A7s-450 instead. A7-900 may have higher SPL than two A7s-450 but the smaller subs are a lot easier to move at 140LBs each.

Possible. But it's quite a bit more expensive to get 2 Ultras though. it'll cost abt 50% more

I have put in a few eDesign subs over the years. They do a good job. The company seems solid and has been around for about 10 years now. They started in the car audio market.

Two 18's? There ain't no replacement for displacement:D

megasat, what do you think of their sealed offerings? I have wanted to see some user comments since they released them.

I have two ED A7s-450 with 1300W amp in each and I think they rocks my house. ED A7s-450 is a good and cheap alternative to very articulate bass without costing tons of money. But the size, the weight and ugliness (not a lot of options available for finishing color) may be a turnoff to many. They also can't match the SPL of many ported subs in this Big and Ugly sub category.

Thanks for the feedback mega. So basically eD's sealed offerings deliver the goods as well as their ported designs. It looks like they have filled out their offerings nicely now with something for many different budgets and functions. They are now also offering some real wood veneers at an added cost. As of yet not sure of the quality of their veneer work, or if the added cost puts them in a market that makes them go head to head with some of the big boys, but nice to see a US company growing, especially in the audio world.
