... Yes, I know this didn't last a week. This is an AWESOME center channel! But this time I have over-reached by a long shot as it is way to much speaker for my room. This speaker is in almost new condition and comes with the original box and power cord. I wish it could stay in the system, but like I said, it truly is overkill. This will mate up beautifully with the bigger SDA's and the larger RT series speakers. I have 550.00 into it including shipping but will accept 450.00 plus shipping or I can deliver within a 150 mile radius of my home (47906)... I will also accept trade offers involving a cherry CSi-A6. I will post pictures later.

That is one great speaker you have there. I have one in rosewood. I dont think I will ever sell mine. I drove a whole state away to get it. If I had the cash I probably would consider getting it to run dual centers. Good luck with the sale!

quick question the powered woofers are ran off the LFE(sub out) on the avr?

Looking for a different option for my HT. Not pleased with the Csi a6. Was just watching a movie with my RTI a9's as centers and was very impressed. Also thought about doing a diy center with (4) 6 1/2 and two 7's to match my RTI a9's

With the CS1000p you can either run the internal subs from the LFE channel, or use the speakers straps to run them full range from the speaker inputs through the internal crossover. (That's what I do in my RT5000 series setup. The RT3000p mains and FX1000 surrounds are all voice matched using the same mids and tweeters.) There is a bass volume adjustment control on the front panel of the speaker to allow you to fine-tune the bass response. This basically gives you a "real" full-range speaker. The CS1000p has better bass response than most center channel speakers because of the powered subs.

I would save the LFE channel output from your controler or AVR for larger, dedicated subs in your system. Make sure you designate the center as "large" in your AVR's setup menus to ensure that the lowest bass is not cut off and sent to the LFE channel. After all, over 80% of the sound info in a movie soundtrack goes to the center channel speaker.

I have paired the CS1000p with RT1000's, RT2000p's and now RT3000p's, along with FX1000's and FX500's. I have also owned CS400's, among others. For my money, the CS1000p is the most important speaker in my setup, and I would recommend it to anyone, especially when paired with other RT series speakers.

One other option is to connect the sub of the CS1000P to the center channel pre-out on your AVR. You get cleaner bass output from the center channel's sub that is specific to the center channel signal only and let your main sub do the LFE work. The bass sound is cleaner using the pre-out signal than amping the signal twice by using the speaker level inputs for the sub.

because it fits the room better, and I have been unable to fit a crossover mix on my home-built SDA-Center that works to my liking.

It was a pleasure for us, too. Have to tell you how well the center blends with my RT2000i's. Very satisfied.

I am still looking for a CS1000p. I have some RT800i's, CS400i, and a pair of RT35i's that I could negotiate a trade with. Please let me know if anyone is interested.
