Is the Internet broken?

All evening large parts of the internet seem inaccessible from my California location. I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? This is one of the very few sites that I can access right now.

I know, it seems a little silly but the randomness of the sites that cannot be reached got me to thinking that there could be widespread shenanigans going about.

Everything seems better here now. It was strange for a while. It must not have been a really big outage because I haven't seen anything on Slashdot about it.

I'd guess it was your ISPs DNS server or something like that acting hokey, not "the Internet" being down.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

A little slower on the raw speed side but I haven't had any issues with sites today.

The highest I have seen it go for downstream is around 566Mbps and it is capped at 100Mbps up. I believe our downstream is 1Gbps but due to network traffic, etc. it tops out in the 500Mbps range.
