as the highest paid athlete in the world, for 2010.

Kimi Raikkonen is raking in close to 100mil USD next year in base salary and severance. Add in endorsements and we might see a new athlete on the top next year. :)

He's getting about 45 million Euro severance package from Ferrari and Santander, and a base salary of 20 million Euros from McLaren. Not too shabby.

All for hitting a little white ball around stretches of nice, manicured grass...

But seriously, he's one of my favorite athletes. Concentration and willpower are immense.

Tiger is at about 100 mil in endorsements alone.

What an opportunity for a reality TV show!
They could go head to head in each sport.
Maybe some Kardashians could be involved... or that "Kate" lady with all the kids and the philandering husband.

Yes, but he "only" makes about 10-20mil in salary/winnings. They should be about even next year in total earnings. Don't know if the recession is affecting Tiger's purse or not.

Wood's tournament earning probably mean very little to him (maybe except for the Fedex Cup). He is going to continue to make billions after his pro golf career is over. He is building a legacy.. The whole Dubai/Woods golf course is just insane.. 60+ billions dollars to build it..

True, but this wasn't really about that. Or even Tiger Woods for that matter. :)

I'm sorry, I thought I saw his name in the title of this thread. My mistake.;)

Yep, someone needs to check their facts.
Kimi Raikkonen is an F1 race car driver but he probably golfs too.

    Kimi does not golf.

It's hilarious when people do that. Just shows how absurd titles like "African-American" are.

Yes it does and African-American does not even make sense. Charlize Theron is African-American but she is not black. My friend who is a Berber, is from Algeria and lives in the US, so he is African-American. Again, not black.

If they want to keep it PC, at least they should change the name to something that makes more sense.

    /end of rant :)

I suppose I could take a year off as the highest paid athlete. It would take some time to adjust to being the first athlete with 1BILLION in career earnings.;)
