Found a FM station I like but...

I wonder if anyone has ran into this in your area.
I found a new station I like after putting up a decent homemade FM antenna, great music and so on but... One side of the broadcast is much louder than the other. I found a contact at the station and asked if they knew this was going on on only to be told it is not really happeing and it is on my end.
So, I decided to do some testing. Jumped in the car and drove around until I got the signal, and yep, same thing. I tried using my wifes van and again, same thing. No other stations do this on any of my stereo receivers. I asked a friend that lives closer to the station and she says the Right side was a bit stronger than the left also.
Here in may area, it's not just a bit louder on the right, but a lot louder, if you balance out the system to match the levels up, I end up having the balance almost 3/4 to the left, maybe a bit more than that...
I listen to stations that come from the same direction and one even father away, no problems at all, in fact, this is the only one I have ever heard this way.
Do you think this has something to do with the signal being messed up or is it the station? The tech there says it is fine and was not going to check anything based on one comment... I guess I'll just have to send them a recording or just find a different station to listen to...
So, ever heard of this?
Thanks
Brian
