a new appreciation

after a month in the hospital with an IPOD and sony earphones, I finally listened to one of my rigs. Haven't gone to the basement to listen to the big 2 channel yet, but I have an office rig with an Anthem Amp1 tube amp, Anthem Pre2l tube pre, a California Audio Labs DX1 cd player and a pair of Rogers LS-6's on stands

listened for hours........with an all new appreciation for 2 channel goodness.

I know this post brings nothing to the table and I dont care......I have spoken :D

    Nice to see ya around again. That CAL CD player was primo in it's day.Used to have the CL 15,I think that was it,and it would stand up against some mighty fine players today. Enjoy.

    Glad to hear you're home. :) I'm with you, but not for the same reasons. I think this is the first time my system has EVER had room to breathe, and for me, it's breathtaking. I'm on my 5th solid hour of listening today, and i'll probably hit at least 6 or 7. :D

    doing pretty good, getting better slowly. walking around more. still some inflammation in the hip joint where the bug seeded, but its getting better slowly but surely. I am doing the IV antibiotics from home through a picc line in my arm....that will be about 3 weeks or at least.
