Just got home and called the guy; he didn't sound too keen on the trade anymore.
I just fired up Led Zeppelin II on vinyl (original, dusty and crackley), pumped up the volume on "Moby Dick"... I'm glad; I couldn't trade these things without some remorse anyway.
If it ain't broke, keep worrying about it until you swear it is....
But seriously, these are enough speaker for me for now; thanks guys for helping me with all of this. I'll start focusing on upgrading my power and my music library.

I had RTA 11's and I now have 1C's................no remorse and don;t regret it a single day and I had my RTA's for 20 years; bought them new in 86.
Tell yourself whatever you want.........you need to own a pair of SDA's"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -

One day. When I can afford them. As it stands, my RTA-11TL's are in perfect shape. The finish is perfect, they work flawlessly. My gear actually should be upgraded a bit to handle them.
If I had SDA's, I'd be underpowered right now anyway. Then I'd be sliding down that slippery slope of upgrading tweeters, crossovers, etc, etc... Next I'd find myself eying some beautiful Carver tube amp.. Or two... Then I'd find myself divorced and my wife taking all the equipment in the settlement and burning it in front of me. Then I'd be wishing I had a roof over my head to put speakers in.
Twenty years later, I'd be dreaming of the RTA's...
Nah- like Concealer implied- I haven't reached the full potential of these yet, and I have to tell you honestly, I'm fully impressed and satisfied with them.
I'll get some SDA's when I can afford to keep my RTAs.
But thanks for the vote for SDAs.
