cd "text" is usually the name of the cd. not all cd's ahve it either.

hell i think the only cd i own that has it is ozzy osbourne - the ozzman cometh.

so when i put it in, the alpine scrolls "the ozzman cometh".

i do not believe there is a way to program it.

well I have CD text on my deck. The way you program the text is when you put a CD in there.. you can actually name each CD. I have a pioneer CD Recordable Deck that lets me put text before finalize so its pretty nice. But back to the message. You cannot program the deck to have its own message but on each CD that you put in there. Depending on the model you can press the display key and hold it down while playing a CD without text and you can program the text using the buttons that lets you scan letters and the other buttons as the space button. Or better yet.. read the manual or if you dont. go to their site and download the manual.
