Anyone watch this show? I just started watching it because of the Seinfeld comeback, and so far it's really funny. They starting the Seinfeld episodes next week can't wait for them to come out.

I've watched it a few times thought it was pretty cool. It has a very Seinfeld flavour to it but a little crazier and less Character based.

Now what is this about Seinfeld?

They are going to have a few new Seinfeld episodes inside Curb your enthusiasm. They brought back Jerry, Elaine, Kramer, George, Newman, Banya, and a lot of the old writers. They also brought back the old sets and updated Jerry's apartment to look more modern

I have been a DIEHARD fan of this show since it came out -- I have every season on DVD, and the new season has been hysterical so far. I can totally relate to David's character and his "views" on confusing things in society and why they happen.

Constantly rewatching the episodes on On Demand; great show!

"Bam Bam" has to be the BEST reference now for a mentally challenged person -- new official moniker!

And yes, this Sunday's episode will feature the Seinfeld cast.

For everyone's information who doesn't know about Curb, it's the mindchild of Larry David, who was the co-creator of Seinfeld; it's a semi-accurate account of his real life and his "issues" he has with people in society and how they can drive you absolutely bananas -- give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!

In prov is the way to go, Larry David is very talented and has a superior cast. Sometimes I think it could be better but over all hes a legend. Did you guys see the making of the show when they pulled Jerry's old apartment and put it back together? The sets for the diner and Jerry's apartment were in archives.

LD is one funny MF'er. I could not believe how many funny situations he gets himself into in a half hour.

The whole cast is incredible funny.

Absolutely agreed, fellas. The last episode was hysterical -- did y'all catch it on Sunday? The opening sequence with the guy in the shorts on the plane? The guy's like "Wow...you're way uptight, dude...way uptight...they're only shorts..."

    F!!@!@ing hysterical!

My favorite part was when he yelling at his neighbor's daughter to shut the f up when she was singing in the morning so wrong but hilarious.

This show was great a few years back / in the beginning, but I just caught a few of the current eposides and it seems Larry David has lost his comedic edge, or something. The current episodes he acts like a complete buffoon - over the top and trying too hard. I think the fact he is bringing in the old Seinfeld cast tells you he is trying to prop up the show. I do love the past seasons though, and have a couple on DVD...they are that good. just my .02
If you love the current season, definitely check out the older ones...

Absolutely agreed -- he starts bellowing "SHUT THE F*** UP!"

    It was HYSTERICAL...

There's some truth to be had in 'Kev's statement here, Curb fans...I have been a diehard fan of the show since its inception, and have gotten many, many friends and family members hooked on it -- but something HAS indeed changed since the early episodes that I can't quite put my finger on...perhaps it's a loss of comedic edge or something beyond that, but he does seem to be excessively "trying hard" in this new season -- I agree.

But I can also agree that to really get a good handle on the true Curb spirit and nature, you need to watch the early seasons (I have every season on DVD) as Larry refuses to give Halloween candy to two girls who he feels are too old to be trick or treating, or as he attempts to have sex with his Hasidic dry cleaner at a hotel, or as he dukes it out with one of Funkhauser's cousins from Russia at a testimonial, arguing over their baldness...

Still, they're hysterically funny, what with Funkhauser's crazy sister Bam Bam and the automotive b**w jobs; the introduction of the Seinfeld cast is eyebrow-raising, but I suspect this is to maybe launch a real reunion show/episode, or to possibly inteject Jason Alexaner being the one Cheryl "falls for" if they start casting her in the reuinion -- something hints at that.

I'll check out the the first seasons, but I feel this season is great, bringing back the Seinfeld cast was a great idea I really doubt he's doing this as a desperation to keep the show on the air, especially at this point in his career.

I just checked out the first season DVD from the library. Santa Monica Library has every season on DVD through 6, and I plan to watch them in turn. So far, I'm through about 8 episodes. Yup, its like an older Jerry Seinfeld -- Jewish guy from NY -- set in this crazy land of Southern California where things seem even stranger to the protagonist than Seinfeld's character who was dealing with a different kind of craziness in NY.

I'm loving these so far for all of the obvious reasons. But I also really like the fact that there's a very fuzzy line between the show and reality, with all kinds of stars and comedians appearing. Its like its his real life on speed. For example, in episode 7 (Aamco) Larry & his wife are having a dinner party and one guest shows up who plays a mechanic. He asks Larry about whether he gets royalty payments every time a syndicated Seinfeld episode plays on TV. Then later during dinner, the mechanic says "Did you ever see Friends? That was a good show. I can't believe the actors get royalties." Well, the funny thing is that the actor who plays the mechanic also had a cameo spot on "Friends," playing the apartment utility manager. I just remember one episode where he taught Joey how to ballroom dance. Just a passing moment, but I think these kinds of insider references are pretty witty.

Huge fan. I agree I think Curb has lost it's edge since season 5 started. But I have to admit the final episode of season 6 "The Bat Mitzvah" was one of the funniest shows in all of the seasons. The whole itchy "backside" thing was a riot.

Mike L : Hey, let me tell you about this show : Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's a clever little piece of improv comedy starring Larry David. The lighting is ....

    *** 25 minutes later ***
