I bought a new receiver yesterday, it was on sale for $100 off, what can I say? Just wanted to have the latest decoding features. I am looking at getting a blu ray player soon. So anyway I have a Sony STR DA1000ES receiver and Sony DVP CX777ES 400 disc DVD, SACD, CD player. Both bought in 2003. Paid $600 for the receiver and $800 for the player. I have no idea what these are worth now. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as what to ask for them, also where would be the best place to sell them. I don't have the original boxes anymore, so shipping would be a problem. They are both in perfect condition, never had any problems with either of them. Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.

Maybe check out ebay and CL for pricing as a starting point, maybe even search the for sale section of CP.
What kind of Maggies do you have?"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson. -

These are the CP Polk prices I would suggest:
-STR DA1000ES $150.00-$175.00
-Sony DVP CX777ES $250.00-$325.00
....and of course you would have to modify those prices depending on shipping and Paypal. I am no expert but those look like a good starting point. -
Thanks for the help guys. I've got it on my local craigslist, will see what happens. I had the Maggie MGIIa's, got them in the early 70's. Sold them a few years ago and got the Polk RTi70's. Just not room in a small apartment to realize their full potential.Larry
