Wasn't able to get the Firmware update disc to copy correctly. Getting a new computer in a couple weeks to replace my old one. If anyone can make a copy for me I'll greatly appreciate it

thanks

FYI, if you contact them via the email on their website, they'll send you one directly.
It'll say 2-3 weeks for delivery, but in reality, it'll show up in 2-3 days. I burned a copy, if you need it, but I had to send mine back because it wouldn't read DTS HD MA, and I couldn't tell if that was before or after the update was installed.

Shoot me a pm if you can't get thru on their website.

YEP, Pio CS is the best. I filled out the FW upgrade rqsts for my BDP51fd and BDP95fd on Pio web-site. I received the new FW disks within 10 days free of charges.

What does the 1.37 upgrade add....I think I had the previous upgrade....is this a recent upgrade...since we all bought ours some time last August?

I can't remember the version I burned and my machine is boxed up in the U.S...

Thanks for the info..I guess I'll check Pio's site as well.

Good Luck with that Leroy...I had the same problem a while back trying to update my Toshiba HD-DVD

PQ and SQ are both excellent. Best $149 I've spent.

Agreed. We've had two of these players since early 2009, though considering selling the one for the main system to replace with the Oppo for the faster load times... Good thing the 4-yr extended warranty is transferable! :)

BTW, have only upgraded one of the players to 1.37, though it's not used that much so I can't tell of any improvements. I assume the new FW was to help playback some recently issued BDs that were problematic.

Best deal of the year : 1. Pio BDP51fd closed out @ BB for $149.00 NIB.
    2.Denon DV2500 BTci Transport closed out @ Vann's for $288.00 NIB.

I sold the Rotel Rcd 1062 after listenning to the Pio BDp51fd in 2 channel audio analog. The BDP05 costs twice that much but SQ/PQ and spec are the same as the BDP51fd.

Those two Pioneer players are very similar...see Mantis's discussion about them...I didn't get much time with the player before I left but I will say the the PQ was very good and the SQ as good or better than what one would expect in any unit less than 1000 dollars...the noise reduction circuitry and Wolfson DACs in this player...make it a joy to listen to, especially in 2 channel. You can do better.....but 149 for a 600 dollar player that rivals most 1K players...it's a no brainer.

I also got mine as a closeout item at BB. In fact, if you look at the old posts you'll see that a couple of us sounded the 'call' to everyone else to snap these BDPs up before they disappeared....

Just received a free FW 1.37 disk from Pio. Good customer service. The best $149.00 I have ever spent.
