My Yamaha RX-v861 is in fantastic shape and works as new. I have the remote and factory packaging so shipping will not be an issue. I will forward a pdf file of the owners manual to the new owner, as it was tossed by my mom when she thought it a great idea to clean house. It will be shipped within 48 hours of my Sunfire TGP-5 being installed in my system. It has been a great receiver and will make a great first step into home theater for someone.     Hey folks, I run this as my receiver in my main system and love it. The only knock on this receiver for awhile was that it didn't decode all the advanced codecs (when entry level blu-ray players couldn't either). But now, who cares? Just about every current blu-ray player does that now and then sends it to the reciever as PCM. The RX-v861 can even accept multichannel SACD over HDMI (from my OPPO) which also sounds awesome.

    When I got it, this receiver beat out an older Yamaha and a Denon 3803 handily. It sounded comparable to an HK 635 that I had. I think this particular Yamaha has fuller/warmer sounding amps than older Yamaha's that I've tried. I've also used it with an Adcom 535 and a rotel RB-985 and couldn't hear any notable improvements with the separate amps when driving Paradigm Studio 20's crossed over at about 60Hz.

    As a final bonus, it has a phono preamp in it! Anyway, I love mine and just putting in a plug for a nice receiver.
