Wondering if anyone has experience with the Sunfire Cinema TGP-5 Pre/Pro...

I just got one at a great price and am curious what opinions are of this one.

Thanks!

they do video and not audio. SACD can be done through optical or component inputs. I love SACD but two channel is where my heart is, so SACD is not a big concern.

2 Channel is where SACD shines.

Looks great, but if it were me, I wouldn't spend that much for a dinosaur.....reviews are not too good either.

Thanks Ricardo for the input. I have seen reviews go both ways on it, but for the price, it was hard to walk away from. I will try it for a bit and see for myself, and if it is not to my liking at least I can get my money back.

I thought SACD was for 5.1 applications. I only own two of them at this point anyway.

I should have been more specific, I don't think it will do 1080p video, and it won't decode the latest audio on BluRay disc's. SACD in general is analog only, no optical options. I have the same pre and like some things about it and don't others. To get one that would do everything and still have good 2 channel sound was more than I was willing to spend.

    You got a great price!!

SACD's come in both multi-channel and 2 channel, a lot have both!!
