Guys-
Ok I'm still trying to find a way to make the preamp fit my needs, as opposed to getting another receiver. I'm willing to forego 6.1 for purer sound.
Currently I'm running my 5.1 through my amp. The amp has .013 THD versus .05 for the receiver. Also I've read about the importance of dampening, which I think the amp. deals with more accurately.
The preamp doesn't have component video switching, though it seems that isn't completely necessary to make a progressive scan DVD work.
Of greater importance to me, is the fact that I like to run 4 speakers when listening to music.
I'm running the A side through the amp, and because there is no B side, run B through the receiver.
The Big Question is: If I went with the preamp,
would there be anyway of running all 4 speakers
without doing it inline, or, is inline acceptable?
thanks,
-Luc

Luc, I got back to ya on your last post. Multi speakers depends on how your amp destributes channels verses speaker selection. But I say try it different ways and see what sounds best but running speakers inline will usually depreciate the sound. Your recievers should have some DSP modes to acommodate multi-speaker music.
