POSSIBLE SPOILERS BUT MOSTLY NOT
This documentary finally got to the KC area and just saw it. Pretty good. Lots of history of the 3 "stars." Some nice footage of Edge and Page and very early bands. Jack White, as usual, sounds like he is from another planet...but god I love how he plays. He adds a pretty weird twist, which is quite funny.
There is some playing with all 3 at a time...but only in the end do they play a complete song...and not one of my favorites.
The video tends to be grainy even when it isn't supposed to be. You see some of the sound rooms where early hits were recorded. The audio was good. Hope it is released on HD.
I'm 58 and love all of these guys. Edge talks a lot about the influence of the war in Ireland.....hard for most of us to even understand or appreciate what people there went/are going (?) through. Jimmy Page talks about his history as a session musician even doing musack tracks.never knew that.
One question I had...White mentions and they show footage of another band with a guitar player and drummer and White says they were the inspiration...but I did not catch the name...they were good...and rather than inspiration, White might have said he stole the act.
