My new LED TV

Hello all,

I went out and got myself a new LED TV over the weekend(last weekend). It is the Samsung 55 inch LED TV. Everything about it is perfect except one feature. Looks great on the wall with the ultra slim design and the colors are amazing. The one thing I do not like is the HZ b.s. crap. 240hz, its a joke! The video and audio slightly goes out of sync. But, this is a great addition, slowly but surely!

Picture taken from my Iphone.

    Kingtut,

Yes, they are the 803D's along with the HTM2D. I had a stand for my components and center channel. However, it was a little high, and I had to mount my TV higher. So I am using this stand for now, until I could find another rack, hopefully matching the color of the 803D's

Great place for the 360, are you trying to RROD it? :p

    Looks good!

Congrats on that, I was really impressed with the overall PQ of Sammys' newest (own a few of their items already) offerings, just a bit out of my range for a playroom TV, so i went with a LG 47" LCD. Good luck with it.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

The Xbox has been through the rrod already. Took it apart and used some quicksilver thermo, good to go. I just put the equipment onto the stand, not connected..

By the way...I believe that synch issue you are having can be corrected with that Rotel Receiver of yours within its menu setup.

My brother has the same TV (bought it about 3 mos ago) no issues whatsoever. The picture quality is simply stunning

The sound quality is beyond just about everything I have listened to. The diamond tweeters are astonishing in detail. When playing two channel for music, I do not think I have heard anything better. The bass is perfect by itself for music. Instruments sounds like instruments, especially drums. I hate listening to music and drums sound like pure bass, pretty much turning soothing sounds into R&B type.

For home audio, once again, I do not think I have heard better. The center and the sides are seamless. I do have a signature sunfire sub, the dual 13 inch cube, that I use for movies. I do not recommend using the sub for music, it horrible!

I may be bias though. I fell for this line of speaker a long time ago, the matrix series. But then again, its personal preference and the enclosure is a beauty.

Thanks for the congrats. I previously had the 52 inch 750 series TOC, I liked it a lot as well. I almost put that up against the Pioneer lines, except the Samsung black color was not all there for me. However, this new LED, breathtaking.

Cant you turn off the 240hz option? from what little I have read it is reccomended to do so.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

You should really consider moving those speakers further apart and out from the wall a bit. It should help with separation and less image smear. Shame since you have such nice speakers.

Yes, normally the speakers are farther apart then what the picture shows. The bedroom was redone, fixtures, wall color, new crown molding, etc.. Currently it is just sitting there, and let me say, those speakers are very heavy.

    is that hot?......................................or scary?

Yes you can, I did that with the my 120hz 46" samsung. It is quite annoying and takes a bit of movie experience away IMO. Its really only good for watching sports.
