John Bonham died 29 years ago today, of course bringing an end to Led Zeppelin.

So whether its vinyl, CD, 8-track, cassette or whatever medium you've got, bust out your Led Zep today to honor this guy. And if you have the DVD that features the 1970 concert at Royal Albert Hall Theater, replay that mind-blowing solo in Moby Dick. Stops me in my tracks every time.

If you don't have the DVD, you can get a taste of the performance from this excerpt:

I was listening to my favorite bootlegs last night thinking about today.

"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!
