Bose Speakers

Yes I know there bose. But my neighbor is selling a set of black 3 feet tall bose speakers. They are probably 8-12 years old. I can not think of the model but they have a tweeter at the top and a small port at the bottom in the rear. The tweeter is angled to the side. If someone can help me figure out what they are and let me know if they are worth getting for 80 bucks please let me know. Any help would be appreciated. :confused:

    most here would say bose blows, (self included)but if you like the way they sound, get them. The price seems fair, but see if you can get them for less.

    I think I am going to pass on them and go for a set of infinity 2000.6's for 100 bucks

    Make sure you check the cones well on the infinity 2000.6. They have a tendency to form creases in the cones and other weird stuff.

    I never saw a 501 that looked anything like that. I did move a pair of Bose 10.1 out of here a few years back, and that is what they resemble.

    So other than checking for wear on the cones. Is there anything else? Also do you think they will sound good?

    It's the 501 Series 5... I had a cube set of series 4's; that was the last cube looking ones...
    The cube ones were loud and forward; not "good"... but the ones that came after were ridiculously poor in everywhere I can imagine.

    LOL well I am just seeing if they are worth 100 bucks the infinity's I mean. I listen to a lot of music and during christmas a lot more music lol.
