I read about these in TAS. I've been a big fan of Vienna Acoustics for many years...and love their sound. I could just never convince myself to spend the money to get a pair. NOW they have made it even more out of my range. $27,000 per pair. Hell...my 401K is so busted right now I couldn't even cash it in to buy a pair of these.

I'm going to ask a couple of VA dealers I know to let me know if they get a pair to demo. I like the looks of these and I WANT TO HEAR THEM!

It may be just like seeing a georgeous woman. You are dying to get your hands on her...and it is something you NEED to experience...but once you do, you may find out it isn't all that and not worth the money and trouble.

But DAMN...you want to give it a shot...and get at least a taste....:D

Maybe...someday.

There aren't a slew of them scheduled for the US, from last I heard, but things may change if sell well here. They do truly look amazing in person. I've seen them the last two years at the CEDIA expo. The center channel looks just as extravagant, and the bookshelves looked nice too, except for the funky half stands. I'm just sad they didn't have them set up to play music at the show. Probably have to hear them at CES, Berkley, or Vienna at this point, unless you get some yourself.

They sure are perty! But, there's something about that adjustable midrange, it just seem's kind of....gimmicky?

adjustable midrange is purely to align it with the room and where you are sitting.

Try - definitely not a gimmick.

Look at the new Grande Utopia from JM Labs - that whole speaker is on an accordian type structure that changes the whole speaker.
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

Even though they are nothing revolutionary in terms of design...these just caused one of those WOW! moments when I saw the pictures. VA has always made their enclosures to high end furniture grade specs and are truly fine craftmanship IMO. I kinda like the bookshelf stands. I showed them to my daughter who is a designer and she thought they were "really cool".

That is a shame... I would have liked to hear your impression of them. Sounds like I won't get an opportunity to hear them first hand. :(

Yeah I'm happy with my Haydn's. I'm hoping to go with the Beethoven Concert Grand eventually.

The Music sure does look good, and I bet it sounds as good as it looks.

There is probably 12K worth of speaker there and another 15K worth of art. Beautiful speaker that can be looked at as well as listen to.

Nice looking for sure. Your best bet is to find a dealer here who has a set on the floor, wait a few months, then offer to buy the demo set at half price. Thats what I did on my Legacy's,picked them up for almost half price. Believe me,speakers that costs big bucks, the dealers don't let just anyone come in and fondle them,so you can get a great deal on these if you find the right dealer.
