I've owned a couple of these and have one now in my system. Can't beat it, if you have room for it. One thing to be aware of: the sub has a bass volume control just under the LED light under the POLK logo in bottom front. It's a rotary control, but some folks miss it. A guy I was going to buy one from was selling it because it did not have the bass he thought it should have. During my checkout demo, I turned the knob up....lots of bass...he was stunned! I was nice and didn't insist on the sale...got a case of brews instead, at his insistance.

Good deal, seems you are finding deals lately!! That is what I have between my TL's, love it!! I hope UPS doesn't do to it what they did to mine!!! The cabinet and grill got destroyed, then they denied the claim stating it wasn't packed good enough. The box was absolutely destroyed, I don't know what type of packaging would be needed to withstand the treatment they dished out!! I would see if it could ship FedEx, I have a lot better luck with them. I was lucky enough to be able to purchase a new cabinet and grill from Polk Audio, so my good deal ended up not so good, but it is like new now!

Let us know what you think of it when you get it set up.

Fantastic center channel speaker! You'll love it. It really is surprising the first few times you hear the sub in the CS1000 fill in the 'formerly missing' bass for vocals, etc.

There are two things I don't like about the CS1000:

    1. The amp does not have an auto on/off feature so it is on all the time.
    2. I have found in ALL situations for my CS1000 that I have to use a 3 prong to 2 prong adapter for the electrical cord (even though this amp is grounded) because it picks up ground loop noise and plays it through the sub speakers. This has happened at two different houses with two completely different sets of equipment. The speaker is bi-wired (i.e. speaker wire to run the unpowered drivers and coax from the line level ouputs for the sub) which might explain where the noise is being introduced.

Hopefully you don't run into this problem but at least you know what to try if you do.

    Enjoy!
