List & Pics of Vintage Polks!

edited January 2010 in Vintage Speakers
So we have a lot of "identify these speakers" threads here and there. Would it be possible for someone to post a picture of each vintage Polk speaker in here and it's info for quick reference?

I believe this would be a great addition to the forum and make it easier for everyone to identify what they have, or have found.

Thanks

I am wondering why the LS series is not in that list. Does anyone here maintain that site?

They are not considered vintage Polk's
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

A while back I started working on a Vintage Polk reference with pics and specs of the various models and variants. I continue adding to it as I find more info (which seems near infinite). The problem is that I need a way to post it and continue to have it as a living document. Is there a way to do that here?

Actually they are....at least by Polk...
This product is a vintage Polk model and is not available for sale in stores other than as a used product. The following text is taken from the original sales brochure for this product and does not reflect current realities.

The LS90 is truly Polk Audio's "state of the art" offering to date. It features four MW7100 Dynamic Balance 6.5" drivers in a progressive line source combined with the SL6000 Dynamic Balance 1" trilaminate dome tweeter. Two sets of gold plated fiveway binding posts are included, so bi-amping and bi-wiring options are available for even higher performance levels. The LS90s display an amazing combination of power, control, subtlety and agility. The LS90 can persuade you that you are hearing a live performance.

Polk Audio's LS Series represents the best of 20 years of groundbreaking research and design. Choose any LS model and enjoy the excitement that these products have generated among the critics and other LS owners. You will get the power, the accuracy and the impact of live music from loudspeakers of elegance and grace - a combination of value and performance made famous by Polk Audio.

That is not an official Polk Web page, as shown by the following disclaimer...
This site is neither endorsed by, nor affiliated with Polk Audio, Inc.

polksda is still a member and posts from time to time (last week actually). PM him and ask?

The question was about the LS series...which are very distinctive...and vintage. Any polkie should know that.

Sorry, I did not intend to "screw up" your page layout.
I use a 26" Wide screen monitor, so it did not appear too screwed up to me.
Honestly I just uploaded the pictures I had. But I have a good camera set to Hi res.

Please don't take this thread off topic with ranting about pic sizes.
I think this can be a very informative and much needed thread, if it stays on topic.

Just hit report and I am sure Patrick can fix it IF he wants too.
I PM'd him asking him to delete post #13, with the bigger pictures.

I have spent some time collecting photos and information on vintage Polks for a while now. I have much info on the Monitor series but am lacking on the SDA's. This is not quite complete and may have some errors but I am posting it so that folks can chime in with corrections and additions.

    Thanks

Hey man this is great! You did such a fine research work. I personally want to thank you about all the extra info on the RTA-15T and RTA-15TL. It helped me more than anything in clarifying the confusion about the two models.
    THANK YOU!

I'm running at 1920x1200 res and those pics are too big for the screen.... So yeah please resize accordingly as most people do not run insane resolutions. We don't want to scroll 10 times right and down to see one pic.

Oversize pics are no biggie if you merely press and hold Ctrl key while using using the mouse wheel to reduce the pic to as little as 10% of it's original size. The wheel is rotated the other way to increase/magnify the page/image.;) Don't need no steenk'in scroll bars senor!!:D

Hope this post correct, first time trying to post here. What do you think a pair of RTA 15TL's are worth? I am thinking about a pair of these or Monitor 12 series II, or both.

Welcome to Polk audio forums. You would be incorrect sir, this thread is about identifying vintage speakers, not pricing them. Create a new thread and ask.
