Hello everybody.
I'm new to the Club but not new to Polk.
Back in 1990 I bought at Tweeters in Boston MA my first set of Polk Audio speakers. They were the great RTA-15TL. I still own them but they are sitting in an empty room back in the Ol' Country. Since I miss them so much -I've never heard a better speaker- I've been hunting for another set for a long time, and finally found a good looking set in CL. I traveled 140 miles to get them.
My newly purchased set is the RTA-15T model, not 15TL like the ones I left behind. While physically exactly the same -what a beautiful design- I believe they use a different tweeter.
Well, one of the tweeters does not work and I want to replace both so each speaker will sound the same.
My question, can I replace them with the newer RD0198-1 tweeter?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You'll find the schematics here, http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showpost.php?p=434476&postcount=2Political Correctness'.........defined

You can, you will need to update the crossover as linked by F1

You probably will want to upgrade the Capacitors and resistors to newer ones while you are at it. There are numerous threads on various sites for these, Partsexpress and Madisound being he primary two.
