Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

If the Guinness book of world records was not there, then I do not believe it to be real or the longest. However, I would believe it to be real if the video was a montage of hundreds of failed attempts before it was successful! :)

Hey, thats kyle field! I was just there saturday for the football game. I haven't heard anything on it, but the video is basically brand new...but I do think one of the kids in the 2nd video is this player for the aggies:

It certainly looks real, I dont know about the longest shot ever...but it certainly could be proven without Guinness being there...all they would have to do is refer to the video and they can see where they were and where the goal was and measure.

Guinness has to be there (ie: have a rep there) to verify for a world record that they will recognize when it is not something taking place at an official regulated event (ie 100 yard dash, fastest boxing knockout etc.) A video can be faked, and easily, by a skilled enough person. Take the slide-jump into pool for example.

I don't know they were some pretty genuine looking reactions.

After all, many many more have done what would seem like a statistical improbability (to me anyway) which is better known as a Hole in One in Golf-Smaller ball, smaller target hole, greater distance, and well, hitting that ball with a little stick.

It is definatley possible. I made a shot from about that far with a football when I was a quarterback, and have made a hole in one from much further, so yeah, possible as hell.

I highly doubt its fake. If it was, I would believe they wouldnt have a couple members of the a&m basketball team there...and it is very possible...with a hundred or so tries.
