CS400 Sound issue and Bi-Amp question

I have RT1000p mains and a CS400 center with Carver Magnetic Field amps driving them. The CS400 had the magnet fall off of one of the drivers and i ordered a replacement from Polk and installed it. When i play white noise for a sound level check from my receiver the center channel sounds a lot different then the mains. it has a much lower pitch would be my best description. I am considering recording them and see if anyone can tell the problem. Or, is there a problem? does the CS400 sound different then the RT1000's because of the extra 6.5" bass driver compared to the compression driver sub in the RT1000? friend of mine listening to it was raving at how amazing he thinks my center sounds, especially on male dialog compared to his Paradigm center. Btw this is with my stock receiver power driving them evenly, so it is not a sound problem with the fact that i have a slightly different model amp driving the center, pitch sounds the same with both.
Next question is amps. I have a Carver M1.5t 1200watt amp driving the RT1000 mains. I have a Carver M1.5 1200watt amp using 1 channel to drive the CS400.
The Carvers are designed to automatically borrow even more power from the other channel if it is not in use already. Do you think its worth it to Bi-Amp the CS400 or is that too much unnecessary power? How does the CS400 crossover split them up? is one set of posts going to the bass driver and the other set going to the mid and tweet? I am assuming it would get some sort of clarity improvement with running the Bi-Amp config over the single channel.
thanks
