Sunfire makes a difference

Picked up a Sunfire Grand Cinema signature 5 ch. amp off of Audiogon last week and it sure makes a big difference. I first had to go to their site to figure out exactly which one I had, then downloaded the manual to see if I had hooked everything up the correct way. I was bi-amping using the surround channel to do so. The Sunfire does have a bit of a different setup than does Adcom. Last night I reconnected it all and what a difference. I finally heard and felt the warmth that everyone talks about. The Adcom is a more in your face amp, the music seems to come more right at you, while the imaging is there with the Sunfire, it just feels more suttle. You combine that with the sheer power of the Sunfire and you get an unbeatable sound. I was a professed Adcom man, it just goes to show, its never too late to learn something new.

Nice amp!!! The man behind that amp has a passion for music! I know, I just spent time with him at Carverfest09! A real down to earth person Bob Carver is!

Been there Las and it was Carver for me. I felt like a trader but the Sunfire is just a joy to turn on.
John I can see myself doing just that. It should be an inexpensive move. I had a real nice one too. A Dual semi-auto, just loved it. I bought it about a month before cd players were introduced.
Thank you to all the well wishers, you are a great support group.
Now if I can only stop drinking.

Joe I picked up a SUNFIRE TGR-3, Grand Receiver in May to power my SDA- SRS2. Lots of power. I had a Carver Receiver I bought new in 1986, I gave it to my son he is enjoying that one. Since I joined this forum in spring I sure am enjoying music again and spending money. I think I need to buy SDA SRS 1.2 TL's next.
