You have to make sure you don't sit all day. Take short breaks and go for a 10 - 15 min walks. You said you are a smoker, when you go for your smoke, make sure you walk around, be mobile. However don't do like me, don't use the walks as excuse for some extra smoking ;)

I work a flex schedule, and take four 15 minute breaks a day, so that's covered i think.

Anyways... i went to the dr, and they came up with all kinds of horrifying hypotheses (including having an extra vertebrae that would need to be removed), but i'm not going to worry about them until something concrete is set.

I have X-rays and bloodwork today after work (yeah, i'm stupid and went to work again), i have an order for physical therapy already set depending on xray results.

Was also given two prescriptions, one for Daypro (seems to be a vicodin-like thing?) and Flexeril. Not sure if i'll take either of them.

On the plus side, at least it doesn't seem serious enough that i had to be rushed to the hospital of anything, so i'll take that and run with it. :D

Thanks for all the thoughts and input guys, i'll keep updating.

Daypro is an NSAID, spiked my blood pressure, did nothing for pain.

I just hate reading about the side effects...

    "May cause anal leakage."

I'll try it this weekend and see where we're at. I refuse to miss work or feel not quite with it at work, so i kindof doubt i'll be taking any of these.

Dr said the Flexeril might make me a little out of it, so that's already out of the question, and unfortunately, i think that's the one that would help the most.

    wtf?????

That was just a family dr.... i'll be referred to a specialist when the results come in from the xrays/mris/cat scans/whatever.

I did kindof laugh at that one myself, though. :p
