How does it sound? Any other subs to compare it to?I'd keep it but I want the dual Epiks which is the only reason for this sale.

This is a great sub for H/T. It really rocks my apartment watching movies. I dont go higher than around 40% on the gain dial, or the pictures fly off the wall. I cut it for music, having the 9's for that duty. I have owned it about a year with no complaint. Decent reviews on the net, great for the money. Its really a steal at your asking price. Think the Epiks would serve better as a double duty sub though.:D

You're tempting me...a lot...I'm kinda wishing I had the scratch for it. Oh well...if it sticks around for a while I might be interested.

    Good luck with the sale.

Let us know what you think of it. When I first started on this forum, I was essentially in a conundrum when I bought a Klipsch set along with this Sub 12, but the Sub was on eternal backorder--After waiting such a long time to finally get some better bass, I resloved that the sub just wasn't coming-I finally decided it was time to give up and returning the set, when suddenly the sub arrived. In improving my chances for a successful return, I didn't open the sub even though I so wanted to (and deserved to) at least sample it.
Oh well, I guess I'll just live vacariously through you ;)

Did some music and HT listening in my 18X14 HT room. Watched about ten minutes on a couple blu ray movies. It did a great job with plenty of low end and definately not lacking in the power department. On to music played a little jazz, R&B and played Kanye:p. Well after having dual MP4K's it was kind of dissapointing, but again that's a $2000 setup versus $200. Not a fair comparison. It has more output but it's not as controlled. Haven't heard a ported sub yet that I liked for music.
    I've owned Polks

    Psw10
    Psw125
    dsw600

and for under $200 it's a no brainer. I would say it's right on point with the dsw600 minus the remote. I'm seriously thinking about the MP4k's again.

I grabbed up the Klipsch at a Circuit City closing for 300 bucks, it replaced the psw10 which was a stupid purchase from day 1. Haven't had any complaints and it smashed my roommates 10" jbl the other day... so much so that he had to check to see if his 10 was actually turned on.

^ Great sub for the money is right, bought one at 300 at circuit city and thought it was well worth it. Was thinking for 170 I wouldn't mind a second one in the living room.
