I brought home some Magneplanar SMGa's today that I scored on ebay and was pleasantly surprised at how great these babies sound. They even did a great job on Tool's Prison Sex! I wasn't expecting much when it came to harder types of rock music like Tool but, damn, it sounds good.

Herbie Hancock's VSOP Live Under the Sky sounds incredible too. I believe my tastes are leaning towards planar after listening today. Looks like some MG12's are headed this way soon.

I have them hooked up to a Parasound A23 and a Nakamichi CA-5 Control Amplifier (bought from heiney, thank you sir).

Picked 'em up for $200.00 locally. Very happy....:D

    You might try aenima after prison sex , that takes a "Tool" also. lol

    10,000 Days, track 4 has some great "effects" that should be really enjoyable with those speakers, enjoy.

    Thanks. I got tired of waiting for a set of 1C's to surface. Boy Doro is right, there is more to audio life than SDA's. I love the Maggie sound too.

    I'm still hoping to snipe the next pair of 1C's before you though John! ;)
