My Yamaha receiver has bit the dirt, died the other and I am going to buy a new one tomorrow Denon AVR-790, long search but made up my mind that this would be the best for me in my price range

Condolences on the Yammie, and good luck with the Denon.

Those speakers are not very hard to drive. Just make sure you have good ventilation around your receiver.

Well I am used to hearing that the cat clawed up the damn speaker grills, but to me that's a first. Makes sense if it is chilly in the house.

LOL! Never heard of that either but cats do love warmth. I've had a few Denons and I think you will like your new one.

Ouch! Not counting the cat's hair/fur that amassed on the inside of the receiver, not too good for a receiver trying to breathe
