They're a great home theater speaker, and convenient with the built in subs as opposed to having a separate large box in a corner.

The RT series have always sounded sweet to my ears in terms of HT, but not much for music with some exception to the RT55's (those things are miniature beasts).

I'd talk him/her down lower, but that wouldn't be a bad deal if they're in great condition. I've seen the RT1000P's/i's that I currently own sell for up to $350 in the past year, and they only have 1 6 1/2" sub per cabinet along with 1 6 1/2" midrange and a tri-laminate tweeter (I love the tri's RT's have).

On another note, make sure there are no issues with the built in amplifiers if you do decide to check them out.

I currently use a pair of RT2000Ps in my HT setup. They are great for HT but no so much for music. I do want to say that the music remark is subject to source material.

I use mine for rear surround duty. My RT55i's have more of a punch for HT and music so I like them up front. As for the price...I wouldn't buy them to make money however, $350 is a more than fair price provided they're in good condition. I considered selling mine in mint condition w/ boxes for $400ish.

I noticed that ad earlier this morning. They're worth taking a look at in person, maybe just need to be cleaned up. YNK.

Sweet deal! they are great sounding speakers. I owned a pair and just bought them back for a garage rig. They are OK for music but do lack some in the mid-range dept. But for that price, you really can't complain. Nice steal with emphasis on the 'steal'. :D

    dang, that's a nice deal.

and i was thinking to jump on a pair of Rt1000p for $160. I don't really need them so I'm glad you talked me out of it (accidentally).

I'm sure these would be nice to use as surrounds though with the added low ends.

If they're fully functional, you just stole those for $150.

Nice score! I was really curious about the condition of them as the pics were not the most flattering but then again pics can be misleading. Can you post some pics?

"should I add these or get something else?" Keep your RT2000P's and buy my RT 1000i's and you're all set....lol
