pre/pro

Inching up, with the Sunfire 4/7 powering my system the next thing I'd like to upgrade is a separate pre/pro. Any thoughts on the Marantz av8003 or the Onkyo pro 886. The pockets are running dry if they can't do justice I'd rather wait.

    Is your current pre/pro lacking something? HD audio decoding or HDMI? Just curious... looks like you have a nice one now.

    Shoot, just looked yours up. It's pretty sweet and up to date. What don't you like about it?

    Actually nothing, but I didn't know I was lacking something with the Adcom 555II either. So I just throw it out to the group and take it all in. If I can't get a big bounce for the money, I stand pat. There is only so much one can spend however.
