Mirage OMD 15's
An old friend of mine has a pair of Mirage OMD15's. I am curious if any of you guys have heard them or are familiar with them.
The reason I ask is because he will be at my home one day soon and we will crank tunes and I'd like to know before we do this how my SDA SRSII's will stack up against his OMD15's. I'd hate to hurt his feelings I know he has a turntable but the rest of his system is OK but not as good as mine, in my opinion. He has NO TUBES.
This guy is the one who put me on to Polk Audio back in 1979/80 when I bought my first Polk's. He also does not have a computer so he won't be a member here anytime soon. He has no idea just how lucky or smart he is.
Thanks

Who's that handsome guy tying on a fly???
I was going through some old threads/posts and was wondering if you guys have any thoughts on my question.
Since this thread I have moved on to a pair of Sonus Faber BPD's and may buy a pair of Mirage OMD 15's for a spare room and they can be found at a reasonable cost. -
I had the OMD5s for a while and they are very nice speakers. The omnipolar nature makes them very different than any Polk (and almost all other) speakers. They don't image like a directional speaker, but create a more open, diffuse sound. They take some getting used to, but I really liked the sound after giving them some time.
