Just noticed in another pic they are on stands. Are they included? Never seen Monitor stands that look like that.

    Just curious.

10,000 for the stands, sorry I am using them in another rig, I think I got them from parts-express they were like 20 bucks or something but not the best, but do the trick for my needs, Polk did have stands but long gone, Doro has a thread on how to build some, the Monitor 7-10 and so on sound best with 3% of tilt.

OK the Monitor 10 and the SDA-1C look like they are gone to Pauly and Dawgfish, the other things are still available. Yep, premium vinyl walnut color Pauly.

Conrad I will do my best to try and hunt down the boxes with speaker wire tonight, you know you have too much stuff when you cannot even remember where it is or even what you got...................

Shawn just let me know I am sure something can be worked out to transfer things at the fest and head them North.

ask the guys who were at the fest, they sound much more Amazing than the pictures can ever depict, I had to spend many many many thousands of dollars to get to a new level and even then had to sacrifice some bass. These are instant ear candy.

They are unique in audio, that is why pretty much everyone knows what they are in a flash. I suspect on todays market if manufactured new this speaker would be in the 7-10 thousand range, its something very nice you can into for little coin. For some they will be the final speaker they ever want, for others (like me) they will let you hear something that can start you down a hole new path of ribbons, stats, planars at big-boy high end level. I used Amazings for three years straight so we had a very nice romance, as a side note I also realized these could handle hi-fi components and make them shine for all they were worth. They moved me to the BAT gear, MF Kw, etc.

    ^This.

Except for me, they would probably be my end game. I'm ashamed (or proud) to admit that i'm not into this enough to spend the coin that a lot of you do. I would much rather see what i can do on a smaller budget and be proud of that.

If there were a sane way for me to get those bad boys home, i would have already sent you the money.

concealer nothing wrong at all with that, the Amazing's are GG's and Amulford's (Anthony's) speaker of choice for all time, it is hard for someone to really imagine how good these are for well under a grand.

I know we got guys going through N.C. that I can depend on to meet you.

There is a part of me that wants to keep them, the 1C are sold now, so as Mega said I am selling off my security blanket speakers.

NC probably won't help me much.... :( I think i'm going to just wait for another set to pop up in this state. I've seen three on craigslist in great shape in the last year, so my hope isn't lost yet. :D

Amazings are truly Amazing. You need to spend 5K and upwards to match the voice and clarity of them. RT1 definitely knew what he'll be missing after he sold them.

The only thing you need with Amazing is Power. You need to get 350WPC at least and Plenty of Carver Amps out there for cheap. I tried my Amazing with M-1.5T and TFM-55X and I like them a lot.

I do not know, the ribbons though are fine, the speakers and ribbons were in excellent shape when I got them, Tour2ma, Dave Muell, removed the panels and inspected things, verified the woofers had been properly taken care of then made payment before I drove my **** to Tejas to get them, they have been kept in a climate/humidity controlled room, no smoking and fed nothing but high current clean juice, the speakers play fine.......all ribbons need to have humidity controlled, the slightest moisture on the ribbon makes them buzz and sound like ****. Since you are a distance away its a long way to drive to hear them first which I understand can be disconcerning but you gotta learn to live on the edges without forgetting your way back to the middle.

RT1 does not sell junk, near junk, going to be junk, get-rid of quick junk or put junk in your trunk, I do though share a common passion with Sir Mix-A-Lot which may explain my burying a few bones in some backyards.

I am off board after 4:30 EST today, I will be back on Monday, the Lord willingly.

Everbody have a great weekend. I gotta go kiss my 1C's goodbye, it going to hurt to let them leave.

    RT1,

The SDA-1Cs are amazing! Thanks for your hospitality and advice! It was an incredible experience hearing your awesome home theater and two channel set-up! I still can hear the imaging and soundstage of your two channel rig now! It's simply breathtaking.

Duh....You just need to say it twice to confirm yourself that Tubes are Rulers - just like every other dictators who needs to reassure themselves of the power grip. :D

But Congrats TroyD for grabbing the Amazings. They went FIRST!
