I bought one of the 209s -I want to see what's its all about before I delve any deeper into enhancing it further. I picked up some of the basic isolators as well.

Play around with and get used to how it works before you make a big project out of mounting it in a final position. Over the years I have mounted them on just about everything but only some things work like you think they would, at least that was my experience. For example, if you put it in a chair and isolate the chair it can shake you pretty good but you will not be convinced of what you hear and feel. Why, because your mind knows it isn't real since your feet would be shaking too... There are other things like that too. For example if your butt is shaking but your back is not. So far putting them under a platform with the chair and your feet on it has been the best. In this case you get no clues of an unnatural event.
