    Great find Pauly...

I'm a huge WWII buff. I've seen every movie, read tons of books, etc. I've actually been to Russia, and many of the buildings still have holes, and even the actual bullets still in them. Very cool!

Thanks for that Pauly. I have been a WWII buff as long as I can remember. It stems from my dad being a tail gunner on a B24, getting shot down and being a POW till the end of the war. I knew all this, but he never talked about it at all. As I got older I was able to understand why and stopped asking, and started reading to try and get answers to my questions, while not my dad's experiences, I'm sure much of what I have learned has some similarities to my dad's.

With those pics I was a little surprised at how many of the homes that had significant damage were actually repaired, and not torn down and replaced with new. Not sure if it was finances, or feeling the need to preserve, but to the benefit of all us younger generations it is very fitting tribute to all those that lived and suffered through those times.
