Hi,
Can I use monitor 50s as my rear. I have Tsi500 and cs2 as fronts. I can also rearrange so that my 50s and cs2 are fronts and get new bookshelfs since my room is not very big. I used to have monitor 50s as fronts which gave me enough of sound for my home theater. Appreciate your help.
Thanks,

Yes you can use the Mon 50's as rears. The TSi's are basically the same speakers as Mon 50-70's with wood face baffles/ cosmetic differences.

The TSi500 are best as fronts, and have a fuller response, than the Mon 50's (of the speakers you have)

There should be no need to get other book shelf speakers, unless you want to wall hang them or to add speakers so that you have 7.1 srround.

I'm using Monitor 50's for rears. They work fine. Only problem I have is getting them up off of the floor high enough to clear the back of my couch.

I'm in a similar situation. Any thoughts on r30s as surrounds with CS2 for center and monitor 70s for fronts? I'm not sure how to tell if they would be voice-matched. Thanks!

DVD, I think u'll enjoy 50s as surrounds. As VC69 pointed out, its lil' difficult to lift them from the ground to have a better effect.

warmech, u shud be good with 70s/CS2 for front stage and r30s for surrounds..
