Ok maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think he will like something like that... sound wise.

The difference is apples and oranges. One you spend generously to achieve the sonic signature you desire. The other one you see what the latest gadget is for the month. Nothing more, nothing less.

Well he's going to see this thread tomorrow, and I think he will go cheap for an AVR. I hope he's happy, it will be on our hands. :)

I gotta say... I prefer $12k amps for my two channel rig too. I Just can't afford them.:p

But for HT, My Oinker 606 does a mighty fine job. Priorities gentlemen. Priorities.

well, I am reconsidering my initial position after some persuasion from the Steve's, I mean DJ knows a thing or two about surround sound and **** and Shack Daddy, well, he has the first dime he ever made so if he recommends.............................

but I dunno, kind of hard to justify spending perfectly good audio coin on my HT........

OK, maybe the sound from a POS receiver with HDMI will not measure up to even the sound from the Oinker which was a top shelf receiver (well ok that is an oxymoron), so maybe I will just keep that............but..................damm I sound like Farve or that hot legged Katy Perry song I am in and I'm out.........

    OK consider this.

Having oral with an ugly person is like bungee jumping..........you know your going to enjoy it, but never look down.......................a perfect analogy.

Do you have to make an analogy this obvious?
Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

Consider the SC series if you're going for a Pio, they sound very good.

So why not just get a good projector and shine on the wall behind your two channel rig? HT sound sucks anyway. ;)

    Chuck,

Do not blaspheme, no video in the Loft Rig Room---ever.

The Reel Time Theater is actually pretty awesome and a perfect place to enjoy movies, concert vids, or put your feet up to catch an occasional nap.

I don't mind a little video with the horns, so long as there is nothing sitting between them. :)
