How do like my backyard renovation?

Had a little extra help last night. A guy crashed through a parking lot next door, totalled their storage shed then crashed through my fence and came to rest against my neighbor's tree. He survived to drink another day...

Nice renovations, and it only cost a case of cheap beer!!!!
I have no sympathy or tolerance for drunk drivers, hopefully he'll be taken off the road for a long time.
    Glad no one was hurt.

Sweet pics apc, great scrapes on the road inbound. How did the tree get scraped so high, was this guy flying or what?

Are the cops required to notify you of his court date? Are you suing for damages?

I wonder if his insurance company will cover all the damage due to the fact that he was drunk. I'm not sure how insurance companys handle the situation when the driver is envolved in illegal activity? you might have to go after the assclown in civil court. Thank God nobody was in his path!

Oh man, sorry to see your place got all busted up. I have no time for drunk drivers, I lost my brother due to an idiot who was drunk behind the wheel. I am glad no one got hurt. To bad the tree got messed up though and not the drunk.

I wish you well getting the insurance company to fix everything up again. I don't know how that works if the guy is drunk, does that give the insurance company an out for coverage? I hope not for your sakes, but now days it seems like there are so many loopholes in the fine print.

This time the driver got lucky, lets hope that person learns and never does it again.

Great work, man! Is he for hire?

Seriously, though, glad it was your backyard and not your house. Glad no one got hurt.

I did the same last year on the way home from a wedding. Called the the cops and gave them a location and kept following them until they got into position to get him. They had about 6 police cars waiting for him at the intersection. Funny thing is my g/f was driving cuz I had a good time at the reception and I could easily see how bad the guy was driving. He was on opposite side of road more than the right side.

We were told we had to wait 48 hrs for copy of the report. They guy had no insurance card with him, so we don't know if he's covered or not. We are very thankful nobody was in his path and got very little sleep last night pondering the possibilities. I'll keep you posted as info becomes available.

My Wife's father's friend killed 6 people one day while driving drunk in the Bronx, he ran them down while he was driving down the side walk. This was like 2 in the afternoon.

    He's serving 6 life sentences.

And so he should be and then some.
