Any Charlie Daniels Fans out there?

Someone just dropped off a huge Country LP collection at my Goodwill...alot of Charlie Daniels...not my taste, so I thought I would throw it out there.

    My wife is a big country fan and she likes the Charlie Daniels band......I think I may have an album, I'll have to check.

    What else do they have???

    It was alot of C.D. and a bunch of other Country bands - can't remember due not my thing...seemed more 'old-school' country, but I'm guessing. I didn't check condition of anything, but it must have been around 50 LPs.

    Didn't flip thru anything due not my taste, but figured a die-hard country fan may be interested. I had three kids battling over an Avatar toy with me, so I didn't have time....

    This brings back memories.

    In 1974 or 75, Lynrd Skynrd played the Adelbert Gym at Case Western University, not a bad drive for my high school buddies and I.

    Charlie Daniels opened the show. I don't think I was a fan before, but was clearly a fan after seeing him and his band perform.

    The climax of the show was Lynrd Skynrd's final encore, a full 20 minute rendition of Freebird.

    What topped it was both Lynred Skynrd and The Charlie Daniels Band performed it side by side with, if I remember correctly, 8 electric guitars lined up side by side in front of both drum kits, simply blowing the frigging walls and roof off of a gym that held maybe 6,000 people. I have NEVER seen anything like that since.

    That was truly a WOW moment for a 16 year old kid !!

    They are in SW Georgia near ATL. I can PU and ship when I get back in town Saturday if anyone's interested, due I believe the store just closed.
