:DI just scored the coup of a lifetime:D...
As I was looking over the lp's at my local goodwill, a guy came in with a Bang&Olafsun Beomaster 2400, :D:DSANSUI AU20000:D:D and a :D:DTU9900:D:D. I of course waited for them to price them before I left. I paid 60.00 for all three!:D Sorry for all the SMILEY faces, but I have yet to stop grinning!

pictures to prove it!!!

Everything works! I have a crap pair of Yamaha speakers in the garage, and this Sansui makes them sing like a pair of TSi200's:)
Even the Beocenter powers on and goes thru the motions properly, but I cannot listen to it yet as I do not have the proper connectors for the speakers. I also picked up a Pioneer Laserdisc plaer that will find its way into my main rig as soon as I go through it and clean it up. I am going to sell the Sansui stuff on Ebay once I am certain it works well and I have gone through it as well.

All I ever got from thrift stores for a great deal was a color laser OKI printer for $25, and of coarse plenty of records. I am still hunting for something with some glass in it.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

LMAO... I was so excited about it that I could not contain myself. I am selling the stuff anyway, so she is not worried. That tuner is one of the best I have ever heard. I am starting on the task of cleaning and refurbishing the AU20000 today and expect that everything will be ready for Ebay by the end of the week. I wish I was in a position to keep it for a Mancave, but the money this will bring will go towards upgrades and paying off credit cards that have taken a hit this year as I have been unemployed for most of this year.

Flipping them so quick? So sad...
Its one thing to get a great deal on a classic set of gear and to treasure them, but to immediately flip them for pure profit? Its bad karma if you ask me. The audio gods will not be happy with you.

If your gear gets fried by lightning in the next few months, you can say I warned you ;)

Rather nasty to assume such things without knowing the facts, and the fact is I have been looking for work since December. If I could keep them, I most certainly would, but bills don't care if you have a job or not and need to be paid regardless. This will help me pay off some debt that has been piling up for a while...

I understand needing money, etc., but you shouldn't come in here glowing about what a great steal you got on this highly desirable vintage gear, then immediately put them on Ebay for profit. Job or no job, that's bad karma and I'm entitled to that opinion. In fact, its my opinion that you shouldn't be so actively involved in this hobby if you have bills that can't be paid.

If you want to buy stuff cheap and sell it for large profits, that's fine, but don't come here bragging about it.

The best business people always tell us that to be successful, we should be involved with what we love, and are passionate about. For me that is audio and vintage gear. I shared my story with this forum precisely because it was here that my passion for it was re-awakened. You are entitled to your opinion, but how dare you tell me I should not participate in something I love until I fit your mould of how it should be done. If I can enjoy my passion, save some otherwise abandoned and uncared for gear by restoring it to it's former glory and pass it on to someone that will treasure it, then so be it. How I do things, why I do them and what I choose to do are none of your concern. I do thank you for your opinion, but I don't share it.
