I'd go for it, that's a pretty good price. They normally sell for around $350-375 from what I've seen. The nirvana inducer-

I paid $375 for my pair recently. They were in good condition but had some issues with the phantom center being way recessed. After a few weeks of steady use the center emerged, and now they sound fine. I think they needed breaking in after sitting unused in a garage for several years.
At $250 I would bother haggling too much as long as everything works and are cosmetically decent. There is a Sticky in the Vintage Speaker section with a series of listening and multimeter tests that you can easily run. There is also the "press" test: press gently on the passive bass radiator and hold it in; the mid woofers should be pushed out and gradually (2 seconds +) return to their original position. If they pop right back there is an air leak, possibly in the rubber surrounds. If there are no holes in the surrounds or cones, the drivers can be reseated with Mortite quite cheaply. If you press evenly on the mid woofers you should not hear any kind of grating noise which is the coil rubbing on the magnet (I think). (If you press unevenly, the midwoofer cone will tilt and the coil will rub.)
Good luck,
