Just amazing... can you really be a city of champions when your third professional team has the longest losing streak ever?

I'm 24 and don't remember any buzz of them being a legitimate team and thats a shame. Yes, a small market team has a big dissadvantage in professional baseball, but florida and (especially) tampa bay has proven small market teams can have break out years from time to time. I would have no problem them moving to a different city, too bad we put millions into that nice park.

So tell me, is it worse to never experience the playoff game when you supposedly have a team or with no team at all...

at least we have two real teams and that means we aren't Cleveland:p

And to think the beginning of the end started at the hands of my team - the Atlanta Braves. By an ex-Pirate at that...

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Oh come on, they won a World Series a scant 30 years ago. The Red Sox went 86 years, and have turned out fine. Patience :)
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

The problem is I wasn't born 30 years ago so its like it never happened. I have experienced three championships in past three years though so I'm not gonna **** too much;)

It was all Ron Santo's fault. Ernie and Billy tried but to no avail.

What about the dork Cub's fan wearing the circa 80's Walkman who leaned over and tried to catch that fly ball in the post-season awhile back...did they ever find his body? His name is on the tip of my tounge.
