A friend at work is building out his HT and has been looking at B&W 803s speakers. Looks like he can get them for about $4K for the pair.

I am not familier with speakers in that price range and am looking for advice on other speakers he should be considering in that price range.

Thanks,

Amp: Wright WPA 50-50 EAT KT88s

Digital: Mac mini 2.3GHz dual-core i5 8g RAM 1.5 TB HDD Music Server Amarra (memory play) - USB - W4S DAC 2
Cables: Mits S3 IC and Spk cables| PS Audio PCs

PSB Synchrony One. I replaced my SDA-2 with a pair of PSBs in the two channel system, and they sound great. A very positive upgrade.

Later I replaced my LSiC center channel speaker with a PSB Synchrony One Center. The center sound stage is now wider, clearer, and it blends in perfectly with the LSi15s used for the left, right, and surround speakers.
