I got the cash, but way too far for me :(

Pretty much the 2.3TL's are what I want. 1.2's are a little too big for my application, but I would get them any way. The 2.3's don't have that metal crossover panel that fades with time and then looks unsightly.

If anybody over there wants a pair, those are as good a deal as you will find. You can find $500 in the sofa cushions.

Already emailed the seller. Assume they're already sold as he hasn't called me back.

Strange is pictures suggest TL, but $2,200 total price tag would suggest stock 2.3's.

I'm in Olympia and emailed him about them. No answer yet. It was strange that he posted then to craigslist Pen as not too many people go to that part of craigslist. I suggested that he post them to craigslist seattle and olympia, more hits that way.

Neither did I! I did a deal this past month on a Conquest, then on a new center to replace the Paradigm CC390 that I now have for sale on craigslist, Olympia. With all of these dealings, I'm now short of cash. I haven't heard back from the guy yet.

Do what you gotta do for a deal these days! Real questions is, what would you do if a Playboy model came over to your place looking to make the same trade?

Hi everyone. I'm new to the forum but have been reading everything SDA for the past 3 weeks. Back in the 80s my dad was stationed in Germany. I was in high school and worked in an audio club at Mainz Kastel as a stereo rep. I worked for Technics and Panasonic for about 2 years. I had the good fortune of being there when Polk Audio was introduced to the military market. Mathew Polk came came through, but I didn't know who he was at the time. Even though I worked for another company, I used to go to the Polk/NAD demo room and drool over the SDA-SRSs. I can remember listening to Cyndi Lauper, She Bop, and being blown away at how her voice traveled around me (hey, it was the 80s).

Long story short...several weeks ago I was day dreaming about how good those speakers sounded and mentioned it to my wife. My entire 20+ past years have been a comparision of every speaker to that day. I went on-line and happened on the "Vintage Speaker" forum. I had no idea the old Polk line was still going strong by all you Polk Heads! As a result, I'm on a quest to get a pair.

So, bsoko2...my parents live north of you but have no clue when it comes to stereo equipment. Unfortunately, I'm in the Air Force, stationed in Texas and can't get back any time soon. Would you be willing to check out the 2.3s in Olympia if I'm able to get a response from the seller? From there, I could have my parents pick them up if I can strike a deal.

Everyone, sorry to rant for so long, but I'm so stoked to have found all of you! Thanks for the opportunity to post!

I have a friend out that way that will help with getting them boxed and shipped:) But not to worry. Bill will take them. The owner was going down a list of two dozen people to sell them today, and part of my position was to keep him from selling to anyone else. I want to see them come home with a fellow polkie that will care for them the way they should be cared for.;)
